According to the latest information, the search continues for a 3-year-old boy who fell into the Musselshell River Monday morning. Musselshell Undersheriff Shawn Lesnik told Q2 search efforts have been unsuccessful so far, saying he walked multiple miles along the river where the boy was last seen, but brutal conditions– including sub-zero temperatures– are making the search difficult. Lesnik credited the community for their help, calling it “immense.” According to reports, crews from the Yellowstone County Sheriffs Office, the US Water Rescue Dive Team, a cadaver dog and handler and the Roundup Fire Department have all been at the scene to help out. Residents have also been providing generators, lights and food to the crews. Lesnik said crews wrapped up the search at around 6 p.m. Tuesday, but will pick up again this morning.
