No, there’s no warrant on Aaron. At his recent show from Kalispell, he visited with lots of great people, including retired Col. Eddy Byrne of the “Posse.”

It isn’t law enforcement; it’s Montana history. Founded in 2014, the Northwest Montana Posse of Westerners provides historical presentations on notable persons and events.  More than books and Powerpoint slideshows, the Posse actually discusses the topic, “to praise or to haze a speaker,” according to their website.

An added bonus is that dinner is available before the show.  Reservations are needed and there is a cost for the meal, but you can skip that and just enjoy the history from the “peanut gallery.”

Side note, there are Posses in Billings and Helena.  Local groups are called “Corrals,” so Billings has the Yellowstone Corral and Helena has the Last Chance Gulch Corral.

This is an awesome opportunity for history buffs to learn things that maybe they have never heard before.
