Q2 reports that a woman and a 3-year-old child were taken to a local hospital after their four-wheeler lost control and ran into a neighbor’s house in Billings Heights late Friday. The child apparently grabbed the accelerator on the vehicle while it was in gear in a driveway. According to Billings Police Sgt. Clyde Reid, the woman grabbed the child on the vehicle and tried to stop it, but it continued across the street and struck the side of a home on Cottonwood Boulevard. The woman reportedly suffered serious cuts to her face and hands and burns to her back from the exhaust. The child did not suffer serious injuries but was examined as a precaution. The relationship between the woman and child was not immediately known. Police didn’t say if anyone was inside the Cottonwood home at the time.
