What started as an idea to honor fallen warriors in Montana, is now coming to fruition.

Thanks to Navy veteran Rob Creel and "Bridges for the Fallen," a bridge near Helena will soon be named after an Iraq war veteran who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Creel tells us that the bridge will be named in honor of Captain Michael J. MacKinnon, a West Point graduate who hailed from Helena, Montana. Captain MacKinnon was killed in October of 2005 during an IED attack in Iraq.

The bridge dedication ceremony will take place Saturday, June 22nd at 1PM.
