Q2 reports that about 90,000 Montanans recently received partially filled out absentee ballot registration forms from a group called the “New American Jobs Fund,” a partnership between the League of Conservation Voters and United Steelworkers Union. Their reported goal is to make voting easier, according to press secretary Alyssa Roberts of the League of Conservation Voters, who says all of the information preemptively filled out on the forms come from the Montana Secretary of State’s public voter file and is legitimate and legal. If you do receive one, and choose to fill it out, she says to return it to your local county election office. The League of Conservation Voters has endorsed Democratic incumbent Jon Tester over Republican Matt Rosendale. The New American Jobs Fund is campaigning in four Senate races across the country.
