Gary Lowman of Park City has been identified as the 58-year-old man killed Wednesday morning while riding a bike with his 6-year-old grandson west of Park City, according to Stillwater County Sheriff and Coroner Clifford Brophy.  The child was also hit by the car and taken to Billings Clinic.  Trooper Bill Bullock said the boy did not appear to have life-threatening injuries.

He was alert and speaking before the ride to the hospital.  Lowman and the boy were riding on Old Highway 10 west of First Street at about 8 a.m.  Lowman was killed when he was struck by a car.

Bullock said glare from the morning sun might have blinded the driver.  The boy was wearing a helmet at the time of the wreck, but Lowman was not.  Old Highway 10 was closed while the crash scene was cleared.  It was re-opened to traffic before noon Wednesday.
