The Montana Highway Patrol found about 50 pounds of marijuana in the vehicle of a Washington state driver during a Billings traffic stop Tuesday afternoon.
The man was traveling eastbound on Interstate 90 about 1:40 p.m. when he was pulled over for speeding at exit 446 near King Avenue West. A K-9 trooper approached the vehicle and detected the marijuana, according to MHP Sgt. Craig Baum. The trooper got a search warrant after he saw the K-9’s reaction to the vehicle. The unidentified driver was arrested.
