It is barely October but the first winter storm warning of the season is in effect for the West Glacier region. The National Weather Service’s warning runs through midday tomorrow with up to two feet of snow excepted in some localized areas above 65-hundred feet in elevation. Forecasters say areas above four-thousand feet can expect up to three inches of snow before the storm passes. The heavy snow also means visibility could be much lower on some roads in heavier showers.
