Over the last couple of weeks, we've had several young people die due to traffic accidents. On May 30th, Paul Sherman died in a motorcycle accident--he was 20.  On June 5th, two young men, Anthony Deleo 19 and Taylor Larson 21 died in a two-vehicle crash on Hi-way 312 and on Sunday, June 9th, 19-year-old Bulent Helvcai died in a motorcycle/pickup accident. As family, friends and the communities these young men lived in mourn, I reflect on my own children that are their ages. My heart is broken for the parents and family members of these young men.

It hits home especially hard for my kids, as they were friends with all of these kids. I am not overly religious, but I am a firm believer that we are put on this earth at a designated time to serve a purpose, though we may not know exactly what it is and that we are called home when needed. There is no rhyme or reason why we are taken so early in life; it is our time to come home.

On Tuesday, June 18th from 4:00pm to 10pm Red Robin will be donating 10% of total sales to Bulent Helvaci's family to help with funeral expenses. The donation includes dine in and order out. His friends have also set up a fundraising page to help the family with funeral expenses if you'd like to donate.
