Q2 reports it was a day of empowerment for young Montana women at the Thrive organization’s Girls for a Change Summit in Bozeman.

For more than a decade, the non-profit organization has hosted the summit, which invites young women from across the state. More than 100 girls from grades 8 through 12 gathered at Montana State University’s Strand Union building on Saturday.

Program coordinator Greta Moore said their mission is to inspire the next generation of female leaders. Others mentioned the importance of the event, given the current political climate.
