Montana State University Billings announced Wednesday it’s bringing back the perennial science expo aimed at young women, with a few new additions.  Girls-n-Science, formerly known as “Chicks in Science”, will take place on April 1 at the MSUB Alterowitz Gymnasium.  The event includes presentations by fourth- through eighth-grade girls, a special section for seventh- and eighth-graders and a science fair for high school and college students.

The Gazette reports Girls-n-Science will have multiple STEM– or science, technology engineering and math– field booths and women representatives from various related professional fields.  The theme for this year is “super powers.” In addition to the main event, a “STEM Stars” presentation is open to seventh- and eighth-grade girls.  That portion will include 45-minute sessions with science professionals.  “STEM Stars” will require registration online.  For more information on registration, go to;
