Donald Trump, Jr. weighed in over the weekend, after Google blocked an ad from the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF).

According to a press release, U.S. Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) and Congressman Greg Gianforte (R-MT) sent a letter on Friday to the CEO of Google, Sundar Pichai, demanding Google reverse its prohibition on hunting advertising.

We therefore demand you reverse these prohibitions and request that Google reexamine their policy interpretations on prohibiting hunting promotions. We also request a meeting to discuss the importance of Montana’s and the United States’ hunting heritage.

According to KULR8 news, Google has now reversed course and is allowing the ad, claiming that the ad was merely blocked due to automatic filters designed to protect content deemed cruel to animals.
