Lisa Harmon announced on Wednesday that she’s stepping down as director of the Downtown Billings Alliance.  A constant reliable advocate for the Billings business community, Harmon said she plans to leave the nonprofit organization by the end of the fiscal year to assure a smooth transition for her successor.  Harmon added that she loves the organization and is really proud of the work they’ve done, saying she wants to hand a bright torch to the next director.
The Downtown Billings Alliance is the umbrella organization that includes the Downtown Billings Association, the Downtown Billings Partnership and the Business Improvement District.  The construction of Stockman Bank and the renovation of the historic Northern Hotel are among Harmon’s credentials.  Her departure comes as Downtown Billings prepares for the major development of One Big Sky Center.
