The Howe Ridge fire on the west side of Glacier National Park grew on Saturday from 4,100 acres to an estimated 7,800 acres. Recent fire activity combined with updated weather forecasts prompted Park officials to issue additional evacuation warnings. Crews are working around structures in the Fish Creek Campground area– which was closed by the National Park Service– and along the Inside North Fork Road.
