This long-standing issue has been a problem in Montana for years and is finally getting national recognition.

Montana is a state where many folks don't believe there's much to fix, but if you read the news, there is a problem that needs all of our help. The problem is the growing epidemic of missing and murdered indigenous women. Native American women have been disappearing for years, but until recently, there has been no national news about the subject.

At the Sundance Film Festival, one series called Murder in Big Horn focused on this issue here in Montana and made quite an impression on viewers and studios. The series follows a documentary crew interviewing law enforcement, relatives, and locals about this growing problem in Montana. You can watch the trailer below.

Murder in Big Horn was picked up quickly for distribution by Showtime and will debut on Friday, February 3rd. The three-part series will be an in-depth look at what is happening on Montana reservations and why they need more help with these crimes.

It's about time people nationally realize and see what has been happening in Montana and other reservations for years. A few months ago, we talked about how the streaming service Paramount+ featured a missing Native American woman from Browning a few months ago on the show Never Seen Again.

Murder in Big Horn will be eye-opening to many folks outside of Montana and maybe get more national recognition. These women deserve to be found and their families deserve justice. It's a shame that it's taken so long for people to see what has been happening in Montana.
