It seems people in Billings either drive five miles an hour under the speed limit or they go at least ten above.

My experience driving in Billings has been a very interesting one. I’ve been road raged on several occasions in the wee hours of the morning.  People just seem to be grumpy while in their cars.

I know this is relatable to many people in Billings; I read about it all the time from posts on the “Reckless Drivers of Billings” page on Facebook.

My Montana Plates are Finally on My Car

I do believe a lot of the road rage came from my Colorado plates, but again, why...? Harassing another person in their car just for living their life in “your town”- that’s the lamest thing I ever heard.

I just learned yesterday that once you move to a new state, you must change your state driver's license within 120 days of moving. That was news to me from a Billings Police Officer as he pulled me over on Broadwater.

Slow Your Roll

Yep, Billings PD made an example out of me. I literally just left the DMV for my Montana Plates, ready to throw them on my car all excited to be officially a Montanan. I was driving west on Broadwater around 11:30 am, and the police lights came on out of nowhere.

I thought the cops got a call and they were off to help someone- Nope! They clocked me going 46 mph in a 35 zone. OOPS! 😏 I think my Colorado plates were what flagged the officer. Either way, it's fine. I deserved the ticket and owned up to my mistakes.

I got a fat ticket for speeding and the officer let me off with a warning for my license still being from Colorado.

Apparently, Billings PD is cracking down on speeding, especially on Broadwater. So be aware, and don’t waste $100 on trying to get somewhere in a speedy fashion.

Slow your roll, take your time. And please, for the love of everything good in this world, do not road rage.
