85+ Vendors and a Dozen Food Trucks at Laurels Fall Festival 9/9
Come celebrate the season at the 8th annual Laurel Fall Festival, on Saturday, September 9 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. After a hot August, most of us are ready for pumpkins, cornstalks, fall foods, and a chance to wear our favorite fuzzy hoodies in the morning.
Small towns are considered the backbone of America and are certainly a huge part of Montana. I grew up in the country between Belgrade and Manhattan, both of which were pretty sleepy little towns a few decades ago. My wife's family is from Laurel (we live here too) and it's been fun to see our community expand. As of 2020, over 7,000 residents now share the 59044 zip code.
Food, arts, crafts and more.
Fall Festival organizer Cheryl Hill stopped by our studios this morning to share details on the event, and how much it's grown in just a few years. The first event had around 20 vendors and no food trucks. This year, attendees can expect over 85 vendors and a dozen food trucks. Food trucks include a mix of entrees and desserts/beverages, so there will be something for everyone.
The party starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
The footprint of the Laurel Fall Festival is the immediate streets surrounding the Front Porch, at 109 W 1st St. Basically, head one block north and one block west of the four-way stoplight on Main St. Look for tons of cars and pedestrians around the roadblocked side streets and you'll know you've found it.
A kid's zone offers mini golf, laser tag, a bouncy house, carnival-style games, and more. A cornhole tournament is a 4 p.m. with signups starting at 3. There is a beer garden and the party turns into a street dance later in the afternoon with the band Tanglewood cranking out some great Country and Classic Rock hits starting at 5 p.m. Most of the vendors will start packing up by 7 p.m. Many of the food trucks will stick around until 9 p.m. See the full list of vendors, food trucks, and the schedule HERE.
