Due to some scheduling conflicts, it's been a couple of weeks since we got to meet a new four-legged friend from Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter. Last week, we showcased three dogs that have been at the shelter for far too long. Good news! Two out of those three have now found forever homes. Thank you, Billings!

Meet 'Russet Potato"

This week (5/10) Tiffany Smith from YVAS brought an absolutely adorable little pup named Russet Potato into our studios. We're thinking you could certainly change his name to something that rolls off the tongue a little easier. How about Rusty?

He's just a pup.

Russet Potato (can we just call him Rusty?) is a four-month-old bully mix, that came to the shelter as a stray. Interestingly, he seems bonded with another stray that came in at the same time named Mashed Tater. Mashed Tater is estimated to be around 6 or 7 years old and is a small, white, terrier mix. Tiffany from YVAS said the two appear to be close pals, and if you'd like to adopt them both, you certainly could.

Ready to adopt.

Russett Potato (and all the dogs up for adoption at YVAS) has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and is ready to go home with you today. The shelter does have a lot of cats this time of year too if you're more of a cat person. Please inquire if you're interested in fostering a cat (or dog). See all the pets currently available for adoption HERE.

Side note: YVAS is now hiring for multiple positions. They'll hire teens (age 16 and up) if you've got a kid looking for a summer job. You can listen to this week's interview below.
