The gloves are definitely starting to come off ahead of a potential GOP primary in Montana. MTG is taking shots at Rosendale, and Rosendale is firing back at his fellow Montana Republicans.

Back to that story in a second, but first- Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL), who led the effort to oust former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy is coming back to Bozeman, Montana in support of Congressman Matt Rosendale (R-MT02). Rosendale represents the 2nd district in Congress, which is basically the Eastern Montana district.

Our friends in Bozeman wanted us to share the details with you:

According to The Daily Caller, additional events will take place in Townsend and Helena. Will Rosendale announce a run for the US Senate once again? (He lost to liberal Senator Jon Tester in 2018) The Daily Caller quoted Rosendale's spokeswoman as saying he hasn't made a decision yet. The Washington Examiner recently reported that Rosendale is waiting until just before the March filing deadline to announce a decision.

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) went after Rosendale on Twitter for waiting too long to endorse Trump for president, and once again for refusing to take Trump's phone call during the Speaker battle. Rosendale then fired back with a shot at his fellow Montana Republicans- Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) and Congressman Ryan Zinke (R-MT01).

Meanwhile, Navy SEAL veteran and Republican US Senate candidate Tim Sheehy (R-MT) who jumped into the US Senate race months ago, was on the ground giving stump speeches in support of Trump at the Iowa Caucuses.

It would be interesting to see reporting on some of the campaign spending. One trusted source back in D.C. told me that the Democrats are spending $1 million a week in phony attack ads against Tim Sheehy because Tester is "scared as heck" (to quote Kamala) of facing the SEAL veteran in November.

By the way, Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz was in Bozeman back in 2019 for the GOP Fall Roundup where I got to serve as emcee. It was great meeting him and chatting with his dad who tagged along on the trip as well. Here's a link to my coverage of that event.
