Zinke delivers the final decisive vote. And Rosendale rejects a phone call from President Trump? McCarthy elected Speaker. Here's some of the Montana specific highlights.

Late Friday night Montana time, Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was elected Speaker of the House after 15 rounds of voting. Montana Congressman Ryan Zinke (R-MT01), who represents the Western District, cast the final deciding vote naming McCarthy as Speaker. Meanwhile, Montana Congressman Matt Rosendale (R-MT02), who represents the Eastern District, continued to vote against the Republican leader.

Two of the most interesting highlights of the night from a Montana perspective were mentioned above: Ryan Zinke casting the final decisive vote, while Matt Rosendale doesn't take a phone call from former President Donald Trump.

First, here's the video as Zinke casts the final deciding vote and the chamber erupts with applause as becomes clear that McCarthy will now serve as Speaker of the House:

From a Montana standpoint, here is the photo of the night that got a lot of attention on social media. According to several reports, Rep. Rosendale rejected a phone call from former President Donald Trump, who has supported McCarthy's Speaker bid since day one.

Rosendale also got some attention in the 14th round of voting when he made it look like he was about to vote for Kevin McCarthy:

 

Now that a Speaker has been elected, and all of the members of the US House have been sworn in- we can now tell you that Montana has two Republican members of the US House of Representatives for the first time in 100 years.
