Q2 reports Montana’s Democratic nominee for Big Sky Country’s lone U.S. House seat isn’t getting much media attention amid the high-profile, star-studded Senate race between incumbent Democratic U.S. Sen. Jon Tester and President Trump-endorsed Republican State Auditor Matt Rosendale.
But, Kathleen Williams says that’s OK, while continuing to follow the strategy which led to her upset victory in the June Democratic primary. The 57-year-old former state legislator from Bozeman is using a campaign camper and her own car, traveling to both big and small Montana towns, and talking to voters about whatever they care about. She says she’s getting a great reception from Republicans and Democrats alike, touting her law-making background on both bread-and-butter issues and a plan to fix health care by expanding Medicare. She’s challenging Congressman Greg Gianforte, who replaced Trump’s choice for Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke.
