A middle-aged man was tased and arrested on several felonies in Downtown Billings on Monday evening (12/16).

According to Billings Police, the man attempted to assault and rob several people in downtown Billings, including a U.S. Postal Service employee. When BPD arrived on the scene, the man was brandishing a knife.


BPD blocked the man in while attempting to negotiate with him. He was eventually tased and arrested after he continued to threaten officers with a knife.


According to the Billings Gazette, the incident took place near the intersection of Sixth Avenue North and N. 27th Street around 7:30pm on Monday evening.
