BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — Two hospitals have partnered to open a rehabilitation facility in Montana.

The Billings Gazette reports the Billings Clinic and St. Vincent Healthcare opened the 34-bed Rehabilitation Hospital of Montana on Monday.

The hospital in Billings aims to support the recovery of people who have suffered from strokes, spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries.

Each room is private and has a bathroom. The facility also has a therapy gym, a separate brain injury gym, a cafeteria and kitchen.

Hospital officials say they expect the facility to serve about 1,000 people each year, with average stays of two weeks.

Kentucky-based Kindred Healthcare will manage the facility.
