One Day Only: The Catholic Burgers Are Coming Back!

For those of you who've heard about the epic Catholic Burgers on our statewide radio show- Montana Talks, we've got some great news. They're coming back! But for one day only.

CATHOLIC BURGER SALE - Have you ever wanted a Catholic Burger sometime other than Stampede weekend? Here’s your chance - one day only! On Sunday Sept 15, 10-2, delicious burgers will be sold from our ICC burger stand on the corner downtown Main St. You may get burgers “to go” or be seated inside or outside (weather permitting). This event is sponsored by ICC Youth attending NCYC in Nov.

Well, grab your Catholic Burgers, cause I gotta say- I'm with Democrat Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) on this one.

In case you missed it, Democrat senators like Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Mazie Hirono (D-HI) attacked one of Trump's judicial nominees for...get this...being a member of the Knights of Columbus.

That's when our fellow veteran Tulsi Gabbard stepped up and did the right thing, going after those who would dare use a man's Catholic faith as a reason to block his judicial nomination.

As The Daily Wire reports, here's what Gabbard wrote in an op-ed for The Hill:

While I oppose the nomination of Brian Buescher to the U.S. District Court in Nebraska, I stand strongly against those who are fomenting religious bigotry, citing as disqualifiers Buescher’s Catholicism and his affiliation with the Knights of Columbus. If Buescher is "unqualified" because of his Catholicism and affiliation with the Knights of Columbus, then President John F. Kennedy, and the "liberal lion of the Senate" Ted Kennedy would have been "unqualified" for the same reasons.

Article 6 of the U.S. Constitution clearly states that there "shall be no religious test" for any seeking to serve in public office.

Democrat Senator Mazie Hirono didn't take too kindly to Rep. Gabbard's remarks.

An annual fundraiser for the Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish, the stand – open 24 hours during the Stampede – will go through a ton of hamburger and hundreds of pounds of onions in four days, said parish member co-organizer Kerry Hanks.
