Parking rates in downtown Billings are going up.  The Billings City Council recently approved the hike that will affect on-street and standard parking meters, and hourly rates and lease rates at parking garages.  Fiscal Year 2017 budget expenses have exceeded revenues and that imbalance is happening in spite of revenues from the Tax Increment Fund, which grants the Parking Division additional money.  Billings parking meter technology needs to be upgraded.  Residents will be notified of the exact price increases within the next month.
