A bill has been proposed that would make cuts to county attorney budgets across the state, according to the Billings Gazette.  If changes to the criminal code are not made, Yellowstone County Attorney Scott Twito said the bill would stop state contributions to county attorney budgets, effectively cutting Twito’s budget in half.  The drafted bill, supported by Republican Rep. Randy Brodehl of Kalispell, who was involved with the bill’s creation, would only be put into effect if House Bill 133 does not pass.
