Rapist of Toddler Pleads Guilty

A 34-year-old man awaiting trial for the rape of a toddler pleaded guilty in Yellowstone County District Court on Thursday.  Jason Harold Rose admitted he raped the girl over a period of three years, starting when the victim was just 1 year old.  KTVQ.com in Billings reports that the traumatically abused little girl shockingly disclosed the accused rapist’s systematic abuse, saying [quote] “Jason is a bad man.” [end quote]

Rose pleaded guilty to the charge of sexual intercourse without consent.  According to court documents, the now 6-year-old girl suffers from post traumatic stress disorder, which may require years of treatment as a result of the defendant’s assaults.  Rose was scheduled for trial this week, but decided to change his plea to guilty at the last minute and avoid the public proceeding.  Sentencing will be scheduled once Rose undergoes a psychiatric-sexual evaluation.
