BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — An investigation is underway after a tractor-trailer hit and killed a man on Interstate 90 in southern Montana.

Montana Highway Patrol Sgt. Daniel Amundson says the man, whose name has not been released, was struck as he was walking near Belgrade on Wednesday afternoon. The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports westbound traffic was backed up to about a mile  west of Bozeman as firefighters and sheriff’s deputies investigated the scene.

No other information was released.
