A serial domestic abuser is once again facing the Yellowstone County courts.  Michael John Elkshoulder appeared Thursday in Yellowstone County Justice Court to be charged with partner or family member assault, his 10th charge related to domestic abuse.  The 43-year-old Elkshoulder was arrested Wednesday after attacking his wife of 25 years outside of a business on Poly Drive.

His convictions for battery and domestic abuse go back to 1995.  Elkshoulder is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond.  While heading to a doctor for treatment of a broken jaw and head trauma she suffered at his hands last week, Elkshoulder told his wife she wasn’t going and kicked her in the side.  They got out of the car near Rocky Mountain College.  Elkshoulder hit his wife again, and she got the attention of an employee at a business who locked the woman away from him before calling police.
