You may have heard the big news in the Democratic primary race for US House in Montana. Mike Dennison broke the news that Billings trial lawyer, and Democrat congressional candidate John Heenan was the lawyer who represented the Sierra Club and the Montana Environmental Information Center as they sued to shut down labor union jobs in Colstrip, Montana.

You would assume that in a coal state like Montana, that news would be an immediate disqualifier- whether the candidate was a Republican or a Democrat. Not so in the Montana Democrat Party, apparently. I posed this question last week, and now University of Montana political science professor Rob Saldin says that this news may actually HELP John Heenan in the Montana Democratic Congressional primary.
