You've paid social security taxes your entire working career. So why should you be taxed on your social security benefits again when you finally get the chance to retire?

I know, its absurd- but Montana is one of only a handful of states that actually taxes your social security benefits. Thankfully, State Sen. Dave Howard (R-Park City) is working to at least provide some relief to seniors. But now the big question: will Gov. Steve Bullock (D-MT) sign it?

The Montana Senate GOP has this on their Facebook page:

President Scott Sales (R-Bozeman) signed SB 217. Sen. Dave Howard (R-Park City) authored the Social Security tax cut bill for Montana seniors. It now goes to the governor’s desk for his signature...or veto. Will he stand for, or against, seniors? We shall see.
