Solar Farm Proposed for Northwest Billings

A 480-acre solar farm proposed for northwest Billings is heating up. The state signed a lease with MT Sun for a solar farm to produce 80 megawatts of electricity, enough energy to power over 14,000 homes. It would be Montana’s largest solar project and the first on public land. Work on the project is expected to begin in the coming months.
