A 78-year-old Billings man has died after colliding with a cattle hauler semi-truck Friday morning in Billings. A portion of S 27th Street was closed for most of the day.

Investigators from the Billings Police Department still had several blocks of 1st Avenue North closed near downtown through mid-afternoon on Wednesday (8/4), following a two-vehicle crash that took the life of a woman from Billings.

The entire Billings community is mourning the loss of three teenagers, all students at Billings West High School, who died in a rollover car crash this past Friday night (2/19).

Bichler says bad weather was delaying Monday's effort to recover the man's body.

Witnesses said a driver competing in the derby lost control of his car, which drove over a chain-link fence. At least seven other people were taken to the hospital.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating. FAA records indicate the plane was registered in Wyoming.

A man is being questioned about the death.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the man was struck by the side mirror of a motor home, which caused him to crash.

The driver and his passenger weren’t named. Authorities said they are from Havre.
