Last month, a fellow Iraq war veteran told me how he was denied care at a VA (Veterans Affairs) healthcare clinic in Billings, Montana. Here's an update.

Montana U.S. Representative Matt Rosendale called into the KGVO Radio Newsmakers line on Tuesday to explain his opposition to allowing the Veterans Administration to fund gender reassignment surgery, as it does not fall under a ‘service related injury’.

Montana VA is calling those who are eligible in that area.

What about health care workers who work for the VA delivering health care to our nation's veterans? What about elderly or at risk veterans? How soon will they get the COVID-19 vaccine? Will there be mass immunization, or will you have to get an appointment?

Last week we told you about the most underused veterans benefit in Montana, according to the VA. This week, a feature shared by the Military Times caught my eye. It's a list showing several companies who specifically want to hire veterans.

There's a great opportunity for Montana veterans coming up this week. The Undersecretary for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Dr. Paul Lawrence, is hosting a tele-townhall with Montana veterans on Thursday at 3 p.m.
