The "heroic efforts" of a trooper from the Montana Highway Patrol saved the life of a woman who was trapped in her car, after it flipped into the Yellowstone River on Thursday (1/14).
An autopsy performed last Tuesday (8/25) by the state forensic lab revealed the deceased is 18-year old Anthony Pedigo of Billings, who was reported to the sheriff's office as a missing person on August 7, 2020.
The body recovered is an adult male, and because of the condition, Sheriff Deputies determined the body has "likely been in the river for several days."
The forecast doesn't call for an abnormal about of rain over the next week, but that won't keep the Yellowstone River from possibly flooding into our communities.
