I remember when I was a kid, my friends and I went downtown in Cincinnati to watch the circus train unload. They usef to bring the elephants in on train cars then unload them by the river.

While we were there, the first elephant put its huge foot down on the unloading ramp and wouldn't come out. It knew it was a ramp and not solid ground. After trying and trying, they finally pushed dirt up against the train car door.

The old and wise pachyderm put its foot down on the dirt ramp and walked right out with the rest following her lead.

These are amazing animals, so do yourself a favor and catch them at the Shrine Circus this week.

Someday you may never see them again.
