Teacher Shortage in Rural MT

Amid teacher shortages in rural Montana, many districts are going to a last resort option once again. In one case, a district had to choose whether to scrap a business education program, or employ the services of a secretary who’d recently received a degree in marketing. They used a provision that grants schools an “emergency authorization” when they can’t find a licensed teacher.
