Q2 reports the release of a politically-charged Pearl Jam concert poster– depicting images including a burning White House- is drawing a lot of fire online for the legendary group. Monday’s Pearl Jam concert in Missoula’s Washington Grizzly Stadium had unmistakable political overtones, complete with “Rock 2 Vote” sign-up locations at the venue and another show backing Democrat Jon Tester’s U.S. Senate re-election bid. But the poster started generating debate Tuesday after it caught the attention of conservative media news outlets. Drawn by Delaware artist “Bobby Draws Skullz Brown” and posted to Pearl Jam’s official Twitter account, it was later taken down. The poster includes a depiction of a flying Jon Tester jetting over the burning White House on a tractor. Tester’s office said they never saw the poster before the show and they don’t condone violence of any kind.
