HELENA, Mont. (AP) — A third Democratic candidate has entered the 2020 race for Montana attorney general.

Kalispell bankruptcy attorney Jim Cossitt registered with the state Commissioner of Political Practices’ office last week.

He joins state Rep. Kim Dudik and Gov. Steve Bullock’s chief legal counsel, Raph Graybill, in the race for the Democratic nomination for the open seat.

The Republicans running are Deputy Attorney General Jon Bennion and former state House Speaker Austin Knudsen.

Two-term Attorney General Tim Fox is running for governor.

Cossitt ran unsuccessfully for state House in 2018, losing to incumbent Republican Frank Garner.
