Two Separate Vehicle Fatalities Early Friday

Two separate vehicle crashes resulted in two fatalities early this morning in Yellowstone and Big Horn Counties.  The first occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Secondary Highway 314, between Busby and Kirby.  A 29-year-old Washington man driving a Ford pickup, apparently drifted off the road before crashing into the end of a guardrail and rolling down an embankment into a creek.  The driver, who wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and declared dead at the scene.  Alcohol and excessive speed are suspected as possible contributing factors in the crash.
About 90 minutes later, a Billings man died when his motorcycle crashed in Lockwood.  The 45-year-old man, whose name has not yet been released, was riding on Highway 87 near Lockwood when he went off of the road while going around a left-hand curve.  The man was not wearing a helmet and was declared dead at the scene.
