More Info: Latest Bozeman Homicide Suspect on an ICE Hold

Here we go again...yet another criminal suspect behind bars in Bozeman, Montana on an ICE hold.

I had a reader/radio listener send me this story from the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, saying- it sure would be nice if we knew more about his background.

According to the Chronicle:

A man who worked as a foreman for a group of employees staying at the Quality Inn on Jackrabbit Lane told police that one of the employees had attacked him with a knife, according to the affidavit. The employee was identified as 31-year-old Inmer Alberto Escobar Sagastume by his Honduran identification card, the court document states.

After reaching out to the Gallatin County Attorney's office, I can now confirm that a Honduran man arrested for allegedly attempting to stab a man in Belgrade is being held on an "ICE hold" by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Is he an illegal alien?

I followed up with the Gallatin County Attorney's office to see if the suspect is in the US legally or illegally and they are declining to comment "at this time on whether he was here on a work permit legally or not."

What's with all the ICE holds and illegal aliens?

What's with all the arrests of illegal aliens in the Bozeman area? What's with all of the people being held in Bozeman on "ICE holds?" (Someone could be in the country legally, but still be on an ICE hold in jail)

As you may recall, three illegal aliens were arrested in Bozeman, Montana last summer as part of a human trafficking sting operation that netted 18 individuals. The illegal aliens showed up to solicit a prostitute, but let's just say- they didn't come armed with cash...but they certainly had weapons.

Then, in late November/ early December we told you about the two illegal aliens arrested after wrong way drunk driving on the interstate in two separate incidents within two weeks.
