Today, information about Kade & Gradey Smith in Shepherd landed in my inbox, and I felt the immediate need to get this out to the world... as the story behind this is one to bring tears to your eyes.

It's not my place to share the story of this family in detail, however, the key point is that the Smith Family in Shepherd suffered not one, but two tragic losses. Their sons, Kade & Gradey Smith, are no longer with us from those events.

Nina Sedillos reached out, letting us know she was "moved to do SOMETHING for not only the family but the community in mourning as a whole". The result is a community-wide event in Shepherd.

On June 15th, 2024, at 12 Noon in the Shepherd Lions Community Park, the Kade & Gradey Smith Community Event will take place.

Bake Sale
Face Painting
Food from Big T's BBQ
Live Music from Aurora Fallen
Freckles & Tomcat Animal Rescue
A Poker Ride
And more!

The event is family-friendly, and all are welcome to attend, no matter where you are. It's all in support of a family, and a community, suffering from such a tragic loss of young lives.

All proceeds from this event will be put into the Kade & Gradey Smith Memorial Fund, at Stockman Bank, to help the youth in the community.
