A warning to our fellow veterans here in Montana: here we go again. Look at how hard we had to fight for the ability to fire bad actors that were mistreating veterans in the VA, and now the Biden Administration is trying to walk it back.

This appears to be yet another example of how the Biden Administration and their Senate Democrat backers on Capitol Hill are leading to a decline in care for veterans under the Department of Veterans Affairs. Thanks to President Trump, we were finally able to fire bad actors in the VA.

According to Senator Daines, President Biden’s Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) signed a master collective bargaining agreement with the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) that fails to address significant labor concerns and protects poor-performing employees. The senator's office also released this statement.

Senator Daines: The Biden administration is once again putting Montana veterans last. As veteran confidence in the VA continues to plummet, this new labor agreement will maintain the status quo of poor service and employment difficulties. I hear from veterans across the Treasure State that they are fed up with outrageous wait times and low-quality care. This move from the Biden administration will only exacerbate these issues. It’s time this administration starts putting the men and women who served and sacrificed for our nation first.

As we told you last month, the VA here in Montana saw a shakeup in leadership at the top recently. While the head of the VA in Montana was "sacked," I said at the time that more changes are needed at the top of the Veterans Administration bureaucracy.
