Q2 reports that the fourth annual Global Peace Foundation Forum took place at the the Vegas Hotel on Belknap Avenue in Billings on Saturday. The forum brought together local government, nonprofit and faith leaders, on a mission of peace building, while addressing human trafficking as one area that must be focused on in the process of peace building. Mike Yakawich is director of the northwest chapter of GPF. He said one of the components of Global Peace Foundation “…says peace begins in the family. Faith, family is a very important part of building community.” Yakawich is also a Billings city councilman.
